Selangor bans 1M’sia logo on billboard ads
KLANG: Selangor has banned advertisements on billboards that feature the 1Malaysia logo.
The 1Malaysia logo is a political logo, said state Housing and Local Government Committee chairman Ronnie Liu, adding that this contravenes local by-laws.
“You don’t see any billboard in Selangor carrying the PKR, PAS or DAP logo,” he told The Star, adding that the prohibition was not a new development. read the rest here.
This dumb and its get dumber Selangor Government which is virtually controlled by the DAP who try to politicise everything including its attempt to politicise Selangor's Water Supply concession which failed miserably now wants to politicise the 1Malaysia Logo.
This provoked a reaction by Ti Lian Ker:
MCA NGO Liaison Bureau: Selangor Pakatan Rakyat government should cease practising divisive politics
The Selangor Pakatan Rakyat government decision to prohibit all forms of advertisements with symbols and logos related to the 1Malaysia concept comes as appalling indeed. I fail to understand why the state executive council of the Pakatan Rakyat government wants to fight against the spirit of inclusivity and prioritizing People First, Performance Now-the clarion call of the 1Malaysia concept.
1Malaysia is a positive transformation towards forging a united Malaysia. The ruling ban is a show of arrogance and abuse of authority by the Selangor Pakatan Rakyat government.
What sort of ketuanan rakyat is being displayed when the state EXCO’s order reflects intolerance on unity despite preaching from a multiracial platform?
Selangor EXCO Ronnie Liu’s feeble attempt at explaining the instruction smacks of a political agenda is akin to a childish version of a tit-for-tat action against the Barisan Nasional federal government framework for inclusivity. The Selangor Pakatan Rakyat government ought to learn to distinguish between party lines and a government programme.
Is the Selangor EXCO implying that in future, political personalities cannot have posters of officials although they are working in a government capacity?
1Malaysia is federal government policy setting a direction towards national unity. 1Malaysia is not a party agenda. 1Malaysia was mooted with the interest of the people. The local government despite being run by Pakatan Rakyat should be supportive towards any national unity programmes and not obstruct and destruct the positive intention of this policy.
State governments should support governmental policies crossing political and party affiliations. There should not be any doubts by the Selangor Pakatan Rakyat in backing 1Malaysia which is mooted in national interest for the people at large and future of the nation.
It appears that Pakatan Rakyat has turned small hearted. As they are now leaders of the nation, it would be more appropriate if DAP/PKR/PAS were to act in the larger interest of the nation beyond political barriers and political lines and not utilise their office to restrict, demarcate or divide people further, especially when it comes to nation building and benefit for the people.

Ronnie Liu and the Pakatan Selangor state controlled Exco are a bunch of serial hypocrites, what about this cafe at SS2, PJ, SELANGOR then, Ronnie? read here, here and here.
DAP Didahulukan, Anwar Ibrahim Diutamakan
JOM UBAH,
JOM UBAH KERAJAAN PAKATAN SELANGOR!
