Listen to YB Wee in Parliament don't bother about RPK or Bala

This is a speech by YB Wee Choo Keong delivered in our Parliament yesterday, a hard hitting no holds barred on the Securities Commission:

Tuan Yang DiPertua,

Saya rasa Dewan Yang Mulia ini harus mengambil tindakan yang sewajarnya untuk memperbetulkan kepincangan ini.

Pengerusi Suruhanjaya Sekuriti Yang Berbahagia Tan Sri Zarinah Anwar harus bertanggungjawab ke-atas siasatan melampau dan tindakan mengugut wartawan.

Adalah jelas bahawa SC di-bawah seliaan Yang Berbahagia Tan Sri Zarinah Anwar telah hilang kawalan dan kepercayaan umum, dan berdasarkan isu terbaru ini saya mencadangkan agar Dewan Yang Mulia ini membincangkan isu-isu SC yang amat kontroversi.

Isu-isu tersebut ialah :-

1. Pengambilalihan syarikat kerajaan Avenue Capital yang bernilai RM800 juta oleh syarikat yang lebih kecil yang bernilai RM200 juta pada pertengahan 2006 dan selesai dengan dalam masa yang singkat.

2. Kes syarikat MyEG Services Bhd, salah sebuah syarikat dalam konsortium syarikat yang merupakan pemberi perkhidmatan (service provider) “online” untuk perkhidmatan kaunter Kerajaan Malaysia, yang dibantu oleh seorang warga Singapura, Ong Soon Kiat yang telah mengaku salah di bawah Seksyen 97 (1) Akta Industri Sekuriti Singapura yang pada tahun 1999 menjadi pemegang saham aktif dan Pegawai Ketua Eksekutif Paxelent Corporation Bhd.

3. Penyenaraian syarikat Tat Sang Berhad dari Johor yang mana mengalami kerugian pada tahun pertama sebagai syarikat tersenarai di Bursa padahal prospectus syarikat yang dikeluarkan sebelum senarai member petunjuk syraikat sebagai syarikat yang untung.

4. Suami Pengerusi Suruhanjaya Sekuriti, Dato Azizan Abdul Rahman terlibat dalam pengstrukturan semula TSH Resources Bhd yang akhirnya memegang saham 67% dalam Ekowood Berhad yang mana Tabung Haji memegang saham sebanyak 7%. Dato Azizan mempunyai hubungan perniagaan dengan Dato Kalimullah yang kemudiannya menerima pelbagai pelepasan dalam pengambilalihan Avenue oleh ECM Libra.

5. Penglibatan suami Pengerusi SC, Dato Azizan Abdul Rahman dalam pengstrukturan semula, tawaran saham hak dan tawaran saham istimewa untuk mendapatkan penyenaraian semula TENCO BHD sebagai Nagamas International Bhd menurut Practice Note 17 oleh SC pada September 2007.

6. Menarik status penyenaraian dengan cepat untuk Isyoda Bhd yang ada hubungan dengan projek Hospital Shah Alam dan dipercayai ada hubungan rapat dengan suami Pengerusi SC, Tan Sri Zarinah Anwar iaitu Dato Azizan Abdul Rahman.

7. Penyenaraian Lityan Berhad pada awal tahun 2010 apabila SC meluluskan 1 juta saham untuk ditawarkan kepada Datuk Ismee Ismail, Pegawai Eksekutif Kewangan Tabung Haji,dan bukan kepada Tabung Haji sendiri.

What is said by YB Wee is explosive and will directly and indirectly affect investor's confidence and investors means both domestic and overseas and we are heading towards slower economic growth the rest of the year. PM Najib said quote "“There might be a possible second-half slowdown in the economy due to external factors, therefore, it’s important for us to have robust domestic demand to spur and balance the economy.”

Dr Chua MCA President in a recent statement said that:

- The Gomen must not only say the right thing but do the right thing to win the confidence of the people.

- The Gomen cannot flip flop and policies must be consistent only then it has credibility.

Very wise words that should be heeded by the powers that be, I think PM Najib and his Cabinet must thoroughly investigate what is happening in the SC. Destructive Little Napoleons are not just everywhere in the Opposition Pakatan camp but are also lurking within the BN Government organisational structure. YB Wee's speech is good enough to qualify for a call for Royal Commission to investigate the going ons in the SC.

Paying attention and acting on constructive critiques by Legislators such as YB Wee, in Parliament, are a lot more beneficial to this country than having Government and BN Party Machineries to "layan karenah" of people who runs away from this country because they allege that they are telling the "truth", people such as Raja Petra MT and Bala Everchanging Affidavit. And another thing Ministers or Deputies should not make stupid statements like 40% of what RPK writes is the truth because then it gives 40% credibility to RPK who have ZERO credibility to start with.

Just leave this people be in the UK or the Artic, if they have no sponsors they can always claim political persecution and get protection from the EU Government. It takes two to tango..just let RPK and Bala and occasionally Pakatan Leaders and lawyers to tango with themselves.
