How many Tigers could there be in "Bukit" Selangor

In recent weeks PKR leaders are having a time of their life playing musical chairs in Selangor, all so very fun-fun stuff, first PKR have Anwar Ibrahim as Selangor Economic Advisor then MB Khalid Ibrahim was removed as Chief of PKR Selangor to be replaced by Azmin Ali. So now Khalid is Selangor MB, Azmin Ali is Chief of PKR Selangor and Anwar as Economic Advisor so one would righfully thought that the music had stopped but NO not yet as on 8 June 2010, Anwar announced that MB Khalid continues to lead the Selangor State Pakatan Rakyat despite him not being Chief of PKR Selangor. Wow, That makes at least Three Tigers on a hill, the Chinese says that there should only be ONE Tiger on a hill and The Mat Sallehs says there should only be one captain on a ship.

This is all so very confusing, when are the PKR state legislators actually going to really start the real business of Governing the State if they cannot decide who shall be the big Chief among themselves. With this kind of chaos, the road to Putrajaya will be ever longer and more winding for the Pakatan Pact despite all the positive blusters and bloughs that we Malaysians are fed with daily.

Khalid remains Selangor Pakatan chief, says Anwar

SHAH ALAM, July 8 — Selangor Menteri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim will continue to lead the state Pakatan Rakyat (PR) although he is no longer PKR state chief, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced today.

“He will continue to chair PR meetings because it will not burden his role as menteri besar,” said the PKR de facto leader.

Khalid had relinquished his post as Selangor PKR chief two weeks ago, after an internal “revolt” by party MPs.

The in-fighting had further damaged PKR’s public image, which is already marred by a series of defections by it federal and state law makers.

Anwar indicated that besides managing the state, Khalid’s role would be to coordinate between PKR, PAS and DAP leaders in Selangor.

Aware of its battered image over Khalid’s ouster as state chief, PKR today also moved to close ranks in a show of support for the menteri besar.

Anwar and PKR vice-president Azmin Ali, who had replaced Khalid as state PKR chief, were PR leaders who gathered “to recognise the contributions” of the Mentri Besar.

Even Khalid’s strongest critic PKR Kapar MP S. Manikavasagam was at the function organised by the Selangor Development Corporation (PKNS).

Azmin, whose resignation as a director of PKNS sparked the “revolt”, ironically were among PKR leaders who spoke at today event.

The backdrop of the event was a recent recognition given to Khalid by his Australian alma-mater.

Last week he attended the University of Queensland Vice Chancellor’s Alumni Summit Strategic Direction to 2020 and was selected to head the committee to chart the direction of the University.

PR leaders who spoke to The Malaysian Insider on condition of anonymity today acknowledged today’s function was organised as “damage control” for PKR.

“We were only informed about the event yesterday,” said an assemblyman.

....alas the damage to PKR politically cannot be undone.
