RCI for Beng Hock; too bad the family saw it fit to boycott the inquiry

"From the very beginning, I have expressed great sorrow on your brother's death. But do not forget, this is a far wider scope than just your family. The whole nation needs to know the truth, not just your family. Everyone here wants to get to the bottom of this. I am not restraining you or your lawyers from appealing the decision but as of this moment, I have not seen the conducting officers as being partial."
Tan Sri James Foong addressing Lee Lan representing Beng Hock Family

RCI for Teoh Beng Hock

I am glad that despite the pressure on the RCI brought to bear by the so called seeker for the truth on how Teoh Beng Hock died, first, to dismiss the three conducting officers assigned from the AG's office and second outrageously asking the Head of the RCI Tan Sri James Foong to recuse himself despite knowing full well that each and every one of the learned and respectable members of the RCI were appointed based on the consent of the DYMM Agung.

Having failed to have their demands heard, the Teoh Beng Hock family had confirmed boycotting the RCI which they have campaigned so hard for, up and down the country. This is nothing short of a blatant attempt to denounce and run down the findings of the RCI even before it began, whatever the findings may be.

Does not the family realise that this RCI is not just about closure to Beng Hock's death, it is bigger than that.  As Tan Sri Foong rightly put it, the whole nation needs to know the truth, not just the family.

Now that they have boycotted the RCI, if the findings of the RCI is not according to what they think it should be then they or anybody else does not have cause to complain and the Government having done what ever possible they could to satisfy the family, should not entertain their antics further. Enough is enough.

I wish the RCI the best in their difficult task, I have full confidence in their integrity and ability and may the truth prevail above politics.

This is the trouble with political lawyers. They will just throw a spanner in the works when they falter. A typical habit of ruckus bearers.

How do they define justice? Are DAP lawyers the beacon of justice? Huh, they only see their side of the fence.

This is the trouble with political lawyers. They are one sided. Just like horses with one blinker.

The last person to see TBH alive is the most important witness in the case but who was the last person?

Politics aside, everybody wants to know the truth, and perhaps the ruckus bearers already know it. Perhaps that's why they create more smoke screens.

A GOOD MAN DOES NOTHING.

Ya Bro and I have a strong hunch that the DAP lawyers have encountered a thick brick wall in the form of the RCI members, one that they bodes no nonsense or theatrics from them.

So their usual trick of asking the AG staff to be replaced, or requesting suspension of proceedings while they appeal to god knows what court and the cream of tricks asking the head of the RCI to recuse himself because they don't like how he looks does not apply in the RCI.

Having failed to breach the brick wall, they sought an honourable retreat. Goodbye to them.
