Tony Pua received a bullet in the mail, that is why we still need the ISA

Tony Pua received a bullet in his mail on 11 August 2010 and it triggered a stampede of comments notably from Khairy Jamaludin son in law of Tun Abdullah and of course the usual ranting and allegations by DAP supremo Lim Kit Siang excerpts here:

Kit Siang links bullet threat to racial politics

By Debra Chong August 12, 2010(MI)

PETALING JAYA, Aug 12 – The DAP’s Lim Kit Siang linked today a live bullet warning to his partyman Tony Pua to Umno’s outcry over the latter’s idea to scrap Bumiputera discounts for high-end properties in Selangor.

But he stopped short of saying the ruling party was the culprit.

The Ipoh-Timur MP urged Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak to take the threat seriously and work to stamp out “very ugly, intolerant and vicious politicking” among local leaders to put their point across clearly.

In the first instance the bullet sent to Pua is of unknown origin and the person or persons responsible could be just any body and could even be forces in Pakatan who are not happy with Pua's statements of late. All fair thinking Malaysians should condemn this act but I think cool heads should prevail here and Lim Kit Siang is not helping at all and may just make the situation worse.

Allegations without proof can be very dangerous and people who propagate rumors and untruths which could cause disturbance between the races in this country is a danger to the stability and security of this country.

That is why I support the ISA, it should not be repealed or amended, it is our last defence against any threat to our Parliamentary Democracy.
