Did Hishamuddin regret the ban on the use of the word "Allah" on The Herald?

Allah Image

The Home Minister, Hishamuddin was reported to have said that the ban on the use of "Allah", which he blamed on his predecessor Syed Hamid Albar, will haunt his ministry "for a very long time", adding that it should not have been prohibited. (In the first instance a Ministry is not a personal property of a person it is a trust for the Minister to take care)

The question is did Hishamuddin actually said regret or was it spun out of context by the MI? read
here and here.

The
High Court decision is being appealed by the Government, I think it is best that we, all of us including Cabinet Ministers not to give their personal opinions but to leave it to the Judiciary to use their learned judgement to decide.

Otherwise there will always be vultures and gutter politicians who would politicize this very sensitive issue for both Muslims and Christians who uses the word "Allah" since the day they start to worship God.

Listen to the Cabinet Minister
here. I agree with him. Let us all wait for the Court to decide.
