Its a bad idea to spread mischievous political message during a Special Day

The DAP Secretary General Guan Eng anointed heir to DAP throne, son of DAP Emperor Lim Kit Siang is having a great time since March 2008, after the DAP ousted Gerakan from Power in Pulau Pinang he has been the Ketua Menteri and been enjoying the good life ever since.

Certainly good luck for an ex-convict who had been sent to jail for spreading of false news and sedition, ya, don't believe that nonsense that he went to jail protecting a Malay Girl ok. Anyway, he has led the good life in his position as Chief Minister YAB Tuan Lim Guan Eng, Malaysia is a truly wonderful country isn't it.

Let me say first off that I find Guan Eng like UMNO's KJ  too arrogant a fellow to be  a politician. I have not changed my mind, Guan Eng's divisive action and statements since becoming CM is well documented, so I am not going to dwell into them. In the Teoh Beng Hock's case he was reported to have accused the MACC of wrong, he was investigated but it seems he leads a charmed life no action was taken against him so far, DAP CM Guan Eng has a special position indeed in Malaysia he seemed to have immunity doesn't he.

I guess with the new found sense of grandeur as Chief Minister  of Pulau Pinang he has to make a grand statement every time there are National celebrations be it Hari Raya, Christmas, New Year, Lunar New Year etc. just like the Prime Minister of Malaysia would do traditionally.  Since 2008 many have come to be familiar with his well wishes and the mandatory follow up politically loaded and divisive statements on the eve of a national celebration, his latest is his 2011 Wesak Day Message here:

2011 Penang Wesak Day Message

"Wesak Day is celebrated by wishing blessings not just for Buddhists but for all mankind including Muslims, Christians and Hindus. Praying for peace and harmony, prosperity and justice, public accountability and good governance is not enough. Malaysians must also act by speaking up together that as we see each other as Malaysian brothers and sisters who firmly reject hatred, unequivocally abhor extremists and universally condemn violence.

Penangites are very concerned at the specific targeting of the Christian community with dangerous lies by the UMNO-owned newspaper Utusan Malaysia that DAP and Christian priests want to set up a Christian state and appoint a Christian Prime Minister. Instead of taking action against Utusan Malaysia for spreading such dangerous lies, the BN government and Home Ministry has allowed these dangerous lies to continue until Perkasa's Ibrahim Ali is launching a crusade against Christians.

This threat of violence and war is anathema to all peace-loving Malaysians. By failing to take firm action against Ibrahim Ali for his threats of a crusade, the 1 Malaysia slogan of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak is empty and meaningless to be used only to mislead Malaysians for votes.

The time has come for Malaysians to stand up for peace and step out with each other on the common principle that no one should be discriminated based on race or religion. Just because of the colour of his skin, everything he does is wrong. Just because of the gods she pray, every lie said against her is justified. This is not only unacceptable to all moral and religious teachings, it is inhumane as well.

Even though Christians and not Buddhists are targeted by UMNO and Utusan Malaysia this time, what is there to stop Budhhists and Hindus from being the next targets in future. Remember the famous quotation by the anti-Nazi and prominent Protestant pastor Martin Niem?ller (1892-1984) who said:

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me -- and there was no one left to speak for me

DAP calls on all peace-loving Malaysian regardless of race and religion to unite against such extremists who dare to use the language of violence because of inaction or even tacit support by the BN government. All of us should pray regardless of our faith that truth will prevail and peace maintained in our beloved country."

This is vintage DAP Lim Guan Eng, trying to empathise with and reaching out to Christians and even got the chutzpah to claim that BN support extremist all this while wishing Happy Wesak day. This despite a DAP member making a police report that the pastors at a DAP function really did take that vow or oath as you will, read the expose here, indeed the truth will prevail as it always will.

Blogger Shuzeng came up with a brilliant rebuttal to Guan Eng here:

On Wesak Day…

Lim Guan Eng: “We must … speak out against hatred, unequivocally abhor extremists and condemn violence.
  • Does he not speak, almost daily, his hatred for Barisan? For Hindraf? Against Uthaya? Against Chua Soi Lek? Against Najib Razak?

  • Wasn’t the Sarawak election a DAP crusade against ‘anti-Christ’ (DAP’s words) forces, against SUPP; is that not extremism?

  • Was his DAP treatment not a promotion of violence against Hee Yit Foong: calling her bitch, whore, stepping on her photo, accosting her, threatening her legally and financially, slandering her husband?
Lim Guan Eng: “We should not discriminate against anyone just because of their skin colour and…(religion).
  • Don’t discriminate is to be indiscriminate: Yes, he was very indiscriminate to hand out Penang government procurement contracts to one ethnic group only.

  • Yes, he was very indiscriminate to make sure only Christians occupy nearly every top party posts and most legislative seats.
Lim Guan Eng again: “Although it was Christians who were currently being targeted, it would not be long before Buddhists and Hindus also receive the same threat.
Here is the man, who just moments ago, said everybody should “speak out against hatred” then turns around to agitate against Malays and Muslims who he infers by the term ‘same threat’.
And here is the man saying peace at one moment then in the next attempts to drag everybody else – Buddhists, Hindus, everybody, Chinese especially – into his fight, DAP’s war, against Muslims and against Islam, a war he willfully ignited in Kuala Lumpur, in Sibu, in Sarawak, then in Penang and in the pages ofMalaysiakini and Malaysian Insider.
And all this – his message – is delivered on a Wesak Day, an honourable day for an honourable purpose, reconciliation, and which ought to be regarded honourably, especially coming from a chief minister.
Yet so much duplicity fills the man. And it is so Christian; to DAP evangelists such as he, Buddhists are idol-worshipping heathens. Why then not use them? Better yet, on their Wesak Day.
The DAP expects Najib to be a prime minister for all Malaysians; Lim Guan Eng positions himself as a Christian chief minister for Christians only. Even Wesak Day has a political Christian objective.
There is a term to describe the deceitful, shameless character in this man: Janus-faced.
So insufferable – so utterly hypocritical – is this man, it’s a wonder he walks around free and he is not jail. In the online newspapers, such as this, they instead glorify him and glorify him and glorify him. Is Lim Guan Eng invincible? Read in full here.
I wholly agree, the KDN Minister responsible should not allow his people to gawk in wonder what politicians like Guan Eng says. I am beginning to really wonder if Guan Eng is indeed invincible courtesy of the BN and that the Gomen is afraid of this ex-convict once jailed for spreading false news and sedition. WE shall see shall we.

“too arrogant a fellow to be a politician” … betul seseorang politikus harus bersikap sederhana. Parti yang dikepalainya berserta juak-juaknya yang berkeliaran di alam maya juga terlalu riak dan tidak boleh diajak berbincang, jauh sekali untuk bermuafakat

“but it seems he leads a charmed life” … setinggi-tingginya tupai melompat

“he has to make a grand statement every time there are National celebrations be it Hari Raya, Christmas, New Year, Lunar New Year etc.”

“his people to gawk in wonder what politicians like Guan Eng says” … para pengikut Pakatan yang diselubungi hasad dengki nampaknya sudah hilang pertimbangan. Sepertimana rencana Joceline Tan (The Star) yang bro petik tempoh hari itu mengatakan, “Chinese feelings about the ruling coalition today is the sum total of 40 years of pent-up frustration and resentment and it is going to take some time to play out.”

Sementara kita menunggu amarah kaum Cina reda bagaikan air surut ekoran empangan pecah, Khalifah Umar Lim tidak akan berhenti dengan hasutannya. Selepas cuba nak kebas kalimah Allah, di-hijack pula Hari Wesak. Memang perangai dan percaturannya mempolitikkan agama tidak kenal batasan.
