Does Malaysia need another skyscraper that is higher than the Petronas Twin Towers?

Among the construction/infrastructure project that was announced by PM Najib during today's 2011 Budget presentation in Parlimen is a 100 storey "Menara Warisan Merdeka" said to cost RM5,000,000,000 thats RM 5 Billion folks your eyes are good.

The RM 1 question is does Malaysia need a skyscraper which will be higher than the world's highest twin tower namely our very own Petronas Twins? How much office space will that behemoth offer and who will take up the space and can any one tell me how much traffic congestion will that create in another part of Kuala Lumpur.

OK, OK I understand the Government knows what's best for the people, but please if you have to built another skyscraper please do it outside the Klang Valley, how about Iskandar Johor?  That will show Singapore's LKY who's the Boss, beside having a spectacular panoramic view of the whole city state in all its  glory. I bet a lot of Global regional office would be willing to move to Iskandar Johor just for the spectacular view ....he,he.

For me, I am just glad some Minister did not propose to name it  "Menara 1Malaysia".
