Is the RM100million graft only the tip of the iceberg? Perhaps call for RCI to institute reforms?

I am sure I am not alone in being horrified to learn about the RM100 million graft probe at Kementerian Belia dan Sukan (KBS):

RM100 million is a big sum of money, and cannot be hidden forever. The fact that it was only discovered by SPRM after more than six years or so of ongoing activity and despite checks by the Government Auditors, which only showed that there is a huge loophole in the procurement system that could and would be abused by crooked Civil Servants and Public Officials.

Yes, this is  only KBS what about other Ministries with bigger budgets like defence, education, Health, Works etc. and even the PMO?

Tis not the time for pointing  fingers and placing the blame on anybody. I think this is the time for a Royal Commission of Inquiry to be called to investigate the weaknesses of the Government Procurement System and give recommendations to reform and tighten the system. Everything must be shaken top to down. The intention and ability to commit corruption must be seriously narrowed or stopped altogether.

I think the penalty for corruption is outdated and should be upgraded especially if it involves public officials and civil servants, if it involved more than RM5 Million than a mandatory sentence of 20 years should be imposed.

Thank You.
